Electrical Engineering

Department of Electrical Engineering is established in year 2010 with the intake of 60 and in year 2011 with the intake of 120 Students at under graduate level. The present intake of the department is 30. The department has ten well equipped laboratories for UG. The department library has sufficient numbers of books as per syllabus, worth Rs…. lakh. It has highly-qualified, devoted & dedicated team of teaching staff members. A conducive environment exists in the department for both students & staff.

Electrical engineering is an engineering discipline concerned with the study, design, and application of equipment, devices, and systems which use electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism.

The field of electrical engineering has grown and branched out into a number of specialized categories. To list a few- power generation and transmission systems, motors, batteries, control systems, protection, power electronics, PLC and SCADA and embedded systems. Electrical Engineering includes a study of diverse subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Mechanics in the first year to the advanced core and elective subjects like Machines, Machine Design, Electrical Measurement, Power systems, Switchgear and protection, control systems in subsequent three years.

Devoted to mould students mostly from rural background to become competent engineers and able to serve the needs of society by providing holistic education.

3. To provide real time technical knowledge by exposing to industrial visit.

PEO-1: To produce supervisory competent diploma Engineers.

PEO-2: To encourage students to gain knowledge of new and diversified field of Electrical Engineering through continuous learning.

PEO-3: To boost students to Shoulder ethics and responsibilities as an entrepreneur to meet societal needs.

PO1 – Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

PO2 – Problem Analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

PO3 – Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

PSO1 – Maintain Electrical Systems: Apply principles of Electrical Engineering and laboratory skills for testing, maintenance and operation of Electrical Systems.

PSO2 – Cater Social Needs: Apply Electrical processes for welfare of society and environment as per technological changes.
